My initial intent when planning out this little business was to create a local access point for vintage clothes. KW has an established community of clothing lovers, and I saw this as the perfect chance to jump into the mix - providing a diverse online closet for people to shop. True to my ADHD and indecisiveness, though, it quickly morphed into a much larger idea.
There is a great personal emphasis for my shop to provide a variety of sizes and styles that reflect the diversity of our bodies and identities. My hope is to embody the fluidity of thrifting and fashion - part nostalgia, part happiness, part affirmation. For these reasons, I will always be in project mode with Reworndrobe, as I learn about the intricacies of pre-loved clothing, its intersections with size, accessibility, affordability and sustainability.
The bulk of my pieces are donated, sorted through, and are either featured in my shop or distributed to various shelters and/or similar secondhand shops like this one in the KW region. Reworndrobe provides an opportunity to put a bit more thought into the life of our clothes, especially after they leave our homes!
